In front of a global audience, Iris Mittenaere was crowned the new Miss Universe at Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines. The three-hour special programming event aired live on FOX in the United States.

With the unique culture of the Filipino people, one being fond of beauty competitions, hosting Miss Universe will showcase the warm hospitality and helpful nature of the people. The history of the Philippines

in holding prestigious international events proves to be a strong quality of the country in making successful and memorable occasions. The Philippines first hosted the Miss Universe in 1974, which was also the first time for the competition to be held in Asia. The last time the Philippines hosted the competition was in 1994 and after more than 20 years apart, the country is more than ready to welcome Miss Universe in our islands in 2017.


Mall of Asia Arena

The Mall of Asia Arena stands as an entertainment powerhouse that has welcomed superstars like Madonna, Aerosmith, Bruno Mars, and Taylor Swift, and transformed into sports centers for the NBA and One FC. Housing some of the biggest international events such as the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting and the Papal Visit,
